We'd like you to meet two very special yarns, Lily and Lotus! Both yarns are a luscious blend of yak, merino, and silk. They are naturally a light grey color, quite lovely as they are, but we just can't stop ourselves from putting lots of bright color on top. Overdyeing the grey mutes our brights just a little, making them richer and oh, so wearable. Lily is a worsted weight 4-ply with a very round structure that makes cables and textures pop. Lily's little sister Lotus is fingering weight with a tight twist. Perfect for socks, scarves, sweaters, or anything. Get Lily and Lotus at AbstractFiber.com

On The Needles:(0:34)
Jasmin is working on the Spock sweater for Rex out of Fab Funky Fibres. She really likes the new linking feature on Ravelry's project pages.
Gigi has been working on the Peppermint Mocha socks out of Coffee with C.C., and needs to pay attention.
Jasmin has been working on the poly Chevron cowl, out of Black Trillium Fibres.
Gigi had been working on her Fancy Zebra cowl #zebralong #LuxAdornaKnits. Her needles were dull and made the knitting challenging. She found a set of circular Pyrex needles from Sheila Ernst and her knitting is flying now. Jasmin also knitted her Three Color Cowl out of LuxAdornaKnits yarn.
Gigi finished three preemie hats out of leftover sock yarn/ swap yarn.
Jasmin has finished the Sunflower beret, from Ann Norling #30, for #25000tuques #newhomenewhat
Gigi is also working on the Rib-a-roni hat out of yarn from a Sheepspot tasting kit.
Jasmin is working on the Coronation cardigan. we discuss mattress stitching the underarm vs grafting it.
Happy Anniversary! Leave reviews for your favorite podcasts. Jasmin mentions Like Water for Chocolate. She adores Amy Beth, from The Fat Squirrel Speaks, the Prairie Girls Knit and Spin, Knitting Butterflies , BostonJen of the Downcellar podcast, Dr Gemma, Teaching Your Brain to Knit, Voolenvine, Laura Gynx, the Knit Girllls .
We would love for other podcasters, and videocasters to introduce their shows on this thread.
In Stitches:(20:53)
Gigi wore the Grey Citron shawl. One day she wore a pair of Van Gogh socks that looked like she had gotten sick over her feet.
Jasmin loves her Austin cowl.
Jasmin misattributed who made a gift hat for her, that Boston Jen had knitted for her.
Genevieve wore the Elsa sweater and hat, Ophelia Addams hat and wristers, Duck sweater, and the tulip stripes cardigan,
Rex napped under the Love blanket, and snuggled under the Breezy cardigan, as did Gigi.

Mother Knows Best:(31:45)
This week we answer a question from the "What do you want to hear about?" thread in the forum
about pompoms, and securing them. Also, the differences between hanks, skeins, and balls.
Also, how to address repetitive motion injuries. She references Carson Demer, the knitting ergonomist.
When Knitting Attacks:(41:14)
Gigi was attacked by the numbers on the Peppermint Mocha socks .
The Fancy Zebra cowl needed to be started again, since she didn't need to double the cast on yarn. Also, counting to ten seems to be challenging and so she had to rip back a number of rows.
Purloined:(44:17)
This week Jasmin purloins this sentiment from One Bad Mother: "You're Doing a Great Job!"
Review:(47:40)
This week we review Knit Superheroes by Rebecca Danger
We also love her other books: The Big Book of Knitted Monsters, 50 Yards of Fun, Knit a Monster Nursery
