OMG! Have you seen the Twisted Lights from Bar-Maids? Let me shed some light on this ( pun intended). Twisted Lights are the most incredible beeswax candle with a very long burn time. For example, the smaller of the Twisted Lights available, burns for approximately 20 hours! But here is what sets these apart from other candles, Twisted Lights look exactly like balls of yarn. I actually thought it was a ball of yarn only to then think that they actually dipped a ball of yarn in some wax, it looks that real! Like your yarn in different colors? Twisted Lights come in just as many amazing colors and 100% local beeswax. Bar-Maids does not use any additives or hardeners in their candles, nor do they coat their mold with a toxic mold release or spray. Just a hypoallergenic candle that is easy on the respiratory system and will not make you sneeze. The only wax that is proven to be nontoxic is 100% beeswax. Get your Twisted Light at www.bar-maids.com.

We thank Laura, The Joy of Cooking Fairy, for subbing last week. Gigi finished the first Chrysanthemum sock out of The Knitters Curiosity Cabinet out of Little Red Bicycle.
Jasmin has finished the Playful Stripes Cardigan out of Cascade 220.
Gigi finished knitting the first Rubus Suberectus sock out of Fortissima. Jasmin also finished sewing the ribbon, and the buttons on the purple cardigan, out of Greenland. Gigi frogged the part that had mistakes out of the Celaeno she is knitting for Dr Gemma, picked up the stitches and is ready to continue.
Jasmin is binging on grosgrain ribbon, and has a favorite etsy store for buying printed grosgrain ribbon (TheRibbonSupply). She is also knitting the Antler Cardigan out of Pacific Knits. Gigi mentions the Victorian Girl's Coat. We mention the new podcast Fiber Hooligan, Benjamin Levisay interviews Debbie Macomber of the Blossom Street Series. Also, we mention the Knit Wits.

Jasmin got another CVM Romeldale fleece from Patti Sexton, that was processed by Sheri from Morro Fleece Works. She is spinning it on her Sidekick.
You mentioned your all-time favorite sock yarn, but I didn't catch it in time. I love to knit socks, but am so discouraged by how poorly the yarns wear. Can you mention your favorite sock yarn again please?
ReplyDeleteThank you!

Thanks for your speedy response!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that GiGi is better and back to the podcast - even though I did enjoy hearing Laura. I was a week behind but am now caught up...and have ordered my first skein of Regia!
Happy Easter!
