You probably attend an event at least once a year. Sometimes events are all about shopping, but more often than not, events are a combination of shopping and education. When attending a show that combines classes and market place, shopping literally becomes dashes between classes. Time is short that your plan includes the necessary pit stop (crossing your fingers for short lines) and visits to my favorite or new vendor spot.

As a vendor, we do our best to bring the right amount of scents and products. We are thrilled when we have the product or scent you are looking for, but sometimes there is a sudden run on your favorite scent or product and the person in front of you just bought the last one. Being left wanting after waiting just stinks!

Wait and want no more because we've created the Easy Peasy Product Reservation. It's so simple and fast, you’ll LOVE the experience!

Go to our web site: www.Bar-Maids.com for directions, and we'll even text you a reminder during the event!

On The Needles:(0:32)

Gigi has finished six preemie hats that she embellished with crocheted flowers and with leaves out of
 Nicky Epstein's Knitted Embellishments.

Jasmin also  mentions Nicky Epstein's Knitted Flowers

Jasmin is working on a Molly hat with beaded snowflakes, she is making progress on the Kobayashi Maru cardigan,  and she has buttons and ribbon lined up.

She also has everything ready for finishing the Gramps cardigan

Gigi has started yet another iteration of the Skews socks, and now has started a new one in Abstract Fiber Super Sock in the colorway Laurelhurst.

Jasmin is working on an adaptation of the Coronation Sweater in the Moody Teal colorway, enabled by Michelle from Berry Colorful Yarnings. She mentions Jean Frost's tiny swatches.

Gigi is slacking off on her laceweight Braidsmaid.

She is thinking of knitting an adjusted Rocky Coast Cardigan, (accidentally called the Gnarled Oak).

In Stitches:(21:24)

Gigi has been wearing wool socks, the Serpentine cowl and the Knitmore cowl.

Jasmin thinks Sivia Harding has the perfect hooded cowl. Also, she needs to knit more socks, because some of her socks shrunk. She needs to get started working with the sock machine, and she wants to try the heels out of Lara Neel's book Sock Architecture.

Jasmin wore the Striped Austen cowl and she mentions the Rainbow Dots cowl.

Rex wore both of his sweaters, the Little Baby sweater, and the Wee Envelope sweater,
Genevieve has been wearing the Elsa cardigan every day, as well as the Olivia hat.

Also, the Grinchalong will start December 1st and runs until TBD, and the Do Some Good Contest will start the Day after Thanksgiving and it ends January 6th.

Mother Knows Best:(32:52)

This week we answer a question from the "What do you want to hear about?" thread in the forum about caring for irons and ironing boards.
We love the  Miracle Ironing Board Cover. Gigi insists on using a Dritz Sheer Press Cloth. and she generally uses a Rowenta iron.

When Knitting Attacks:(40:56)

Gigi has pulled two different Skews socks off the needles, until she found a yarn that she liked the effect of.

Review:(42:50)

This week we review 60 Quick Cowls, by Cascade Yarns

And Sew On:(52:43)

Gigi mended a commercial merino sweater for Sam, using sewing thread and duplicate stitch and is very pleased with the result. Jasmin talks about the decorative mending class that Sivia Harding teaches.

Gigi mentions hearing about Clover Double Sided Basting Tape for setting in zippers, but can't vouch for how that would work. Also She watched "It's Sew Easy", and Angela Wolf showed how to do a peplum on a sewn garment, using the Slash and Spread method. Gigi thinks this will also work for designing knit wear.
